New Clinical Surgery This is a joint KATs/ARK venture. The municipality has given the charities use of 2 units to be used as a public neutering clinic, using volunteer vets. They were in a terrible state and it took a lot of work and volunteers to fix the roof, re-wire and generally repair and paint. Vets from the UK, Germany, Holland, Austria and Switzerland donated equipment, instruments, sterilisers and even a scanner. Private donations have taken care of the operating table, lights and other essentials. The biggest hurdle now is getting sign-off on the final paperwork (those ever moving goalposts). Once up and running it's anticipated that 20 cats can be neutered there in a day and, eventually, dogs will be neutered there too helping to make the ARK dogs more re-homeable.
